Stitch Count: 989W x 180H
This is a reproduction of an antique Italian sampler made by Emmanuela Chianello. The sampler has a peculiar shape – it is very wide and short (989W x 180H). The original is embroidered on very fine linen (20threads/cm, approx. 50ct) with silk threads. Our reproduction is charted for 40ct linen and hand-dyed cotton threads with DMC alternative.
Stitches used: four-sided stitch, cross stitch over 2x2, 3x2 and 3x3 threads, reversible cross stitch that forms a cross with a vertical stitch on the left side over 2x2 and 3x3 threads.
Model stitched on 40 count fabric - 'Beige' by Weeks Dye Works.
The sampler is stitched using stranded cottons by The Gentle Art, Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works.
Weeks Dye Works threads: Parchment (x 2), Straw (x 4), Cocoa, Sage, Americana, Blue Jeans, Curry, Grasshopper, Teal Frost.
